Sinclair ZX Spectrum+
Computers · Sinclair Research
The 48K Spectrum in a new case — a proper, if still non-moving, keyboard and a reset button, same hardware underneath.
The ZX Spectrum+ (1984) changed nothing electrically from the original 48K Spectrum — same Z80A, same ULA, same 48 KB of RAM — but replaced the rubber “dead flesh” keyboard with a wider case carrying 58 moulded keys (styled close to the QL’s) and added a reset button, something the original Spectrum never had. It’s the transitional case design between the original rubber-key Spectrum and the fully redesigned, datacorder-equipped +2 that followed it into the Amstrad era.
